MaskRom Mode

For an introduction to boot modes, please refer to[Firmware Update Introduction]

Introduction

MaskRom  mode is the last line of defense against device bricking. Forcibly entering  MaskRom  involves hardware operations, which carry certain risks, so it should only be attempted if the device cannot enter  Loader  mode. The principle of entering  MaskRom  is to manually short-circuit the EMMC data pins to the ground, causing the system to believe there is an EMMC data error, thereby clearing the EMMC data.

Please read carefully and operate cautiously!

The operation steps are as follows:

  • Disconnect the device from the double male USB data cable (power).

  • Use metal tweezers to short-circuit the two test points on the LPB3399Pro as shown in the image below and maintain the connection.

  • Connect the device to the double male USB data cable (power).

  • Wait a moment, then release the tweezers.

Short-circuit the two test points near the CPU

At this point, the device will enter MaskRom mode.
